You Want to Get Into Swiss Investment Banking?
Let’s Make it Happen.
Why Learn From Me?
Meet Nico — the guy who used to decide whether interns got their offer. Now I help you become one of them.
In the UBS Large Cap Coverage team, I managed the junior recruitment process, staffed & trained interns, built from scratch & taught a internal 10 week development program, and saw first hand why some interns get offers… and why even more don’t.
But I’ve sat in your exact seat, thinking about getting into IB one day. I didn’t start at the top. I failed my Gymnasium entrance exam at 12. Later, I fought my way up, eventually graduating #1 from my Banking & Finance Bachelors at UZH, completing a double Master's degree (HSG MBF & Bocconi IM cum laude), and landing a full time offer at UBS without a single IB internship on my CV, mentoring 50+ juniors entering the industry. Since deciding to leave IB to pursue entrepreneurship, I have been guest lecturer at both HSG and Bocconi.
Everything I teach inside NeverBanked comes from this mix of struggle, discipline, and real banking experience.

My Path to Investment Banking
I didn’t grow up on a textbook IB path. I failed my Gymnasium entrance exam, moved to the US, came back barely passing probation, and slowly fought my way up — from a Muay Thai fight in Thailand at 18 to leading soldiers as a Swiss Army officer at 19.
During my first years at university, I had no idea what IB was. I just worked hard, graduated top of my Banking & Finance class, and won the KPMG International Case Competition (Swiss finals + 2nd globally), which opened the door to Deal Advisory in Chile.
When I finally aimed for IB, I realized quickly: the interviews were brutal and far beyond university theory. So I learned how to storytell my unconventional background into a clear IB narrative, studied relentlessly, and slowly turned rejections into multiple offers — choosing UBS Zurich, where I later became intern staffer, line manager, and creator of a 10 week training program.
In 2025, I stepped out of banking and launched a cigar brand, trained martial arts across South America, and taught at HSG and Bocconi. That’s where I saw the same problem I once had: students lack practical preparation. NeverBanked is the system I wish I had — built from real experience and real recruiting insight.
